"Uni-Fly A/S was founded in 1970 by Bjarne Stuhr Petersen, who is still owner and Accountable Manager.In the early years, the company’s main business area was crop dusting by helicopter, but in 1976 the company reacted to demand from shipping companies sailing in Arctic waters to Greenland, who needed helicopter assistance for Ice reconnaissance flights. Later on, the Greenland operation expanded into servicing geologists and scientists in Greenland.Meanwhile, in Denmark, the company went into the business of power-line inspection and later on inspection of oil-, and gas pipe-lines. These inspection flights are still a major activity for Uni-Fly A/S."
